The Etiquette of Real Casinos

Etiquette is one of the most frequently asked questions from visitors to any casino. A casino in any country is a social place, where the casino owners and/or operators wish to maintain a certain "respect" for their fellow casino goers. The bet 365 rules and policies of many real casino games depend on the casino in which they are played. When a casino resident is playing blackjack or roulette at his or her favorite casino, there is usually an "official" dress code for the casino personnel to walk around and Observe.

But for the average casino goer like you and me, it is up to us (casino goers) to observe the casino etiquette. Etiquette is basically a set of rules (treat others the way you would want to be treated) that guide how a casino is to be conducted. When you enter any casino, you should pay attention to casino etiquette. If the casino is not following or respecting the casino regulations, why should we visit that casino?

There are some casino games that we all enjoy playing. The "word" of the casino is usually followed exactly. However, other games like slots and video poker are played on an individual basis by each player. Therefore, there are no set casino protocols for these games. The rules may vary from casino to casino, but often, this can be disregarded when you are playing by yourself.

When you have a problem with another casino patron or member, it is not the casino's job to try to solve the problem between the two of you; it is up to you to handle it between yourselves. In addition, when a casino employee tries to help resolve a problem between you and another person, it is up to you to honor that request (even if you are the casino regulatory authority). Do not allow a casino employee to act as a protocol inspector! If you feel that there is a problem in the casino, it is up to you to address the situation. By following the casino etiquette that you have been taught at home, you will be able to walk away from a casino with your mind open, while others who didn't bother to study casino etiquette will be left wondering how they lost their mind.

In today's society, most people have mastered at least some "common sense" when it comes to human interaction. For example, you generally would not yell at another person in a grocery store if they cut into your line, or if they were in front of the register making rude noise. In many of the casino situations that occur in everyday life, however, common sense is not a big factor. A few of the casino regulations that we are required to follow are: do not talk to a dealer when they are in the process of dealing with you, do not sign a check when the casino has already told you that you won, don't give your credit card information out over the counter, and so on. If you are in a casino and you start talking to a dealer or an assistant or any of the casino employees, you better watch what you are saying because chances are good that you will get slapped with an "out and out" decision (if you are lucky).

There are a lot of things that people can get wrong in a casino, but the number one thing that causes problems is usually the attitude that people take toward other people. Real casino etiquette is more subtle than just telling someone to be quiet. When a person is having a bad day and sees another person having a great day, they will usually pick up on the energy that person is radiating and they will pick up on the bad feelings that are being cast upon that person. By acting this way, you are projecting negative energy onto the person that is really having a great day. You will find that by following some of the casino etiquette tips that you will have a better experience in a casino.
